First Year Hurling Final vr High School Clonmel
After victories over Abbey C.B.S., Nenagh C.B.S and Thurles C.B.S, Our Lady’s First Year Corn Ui Chatháin team qualified to meet Clonmel High School in the final at Littleton on November 28th. Two very even teams produced an exciting game of hurling that finished level at full time. In extra time High School’s greater physical strength made the difference and Our Lady’s were unlucky to lose by four points. In the final, Colin O’Riordan, Thomas Brett, Dylan Carey, Gary Russell, Dylan Moloney, Jason Ryan and goalie, Shane Ryan were most prominent on a team that gave everything in pursuit of victory. Hard luck to the team and to managers, Mr. Seamus Bourke and Mr. Rory Purcell. This group will now start thinking about the Rice Cup which will be played in April this year.
