German in the Primary School Initiative
Four students in Transition Year have become teachers for a day, as part of their enterprise project. They were kindly allowed to visit St. Joseph’s National School in Templemore last week, where they taught the sixth class German. They had prepared power point communication dialogues and "Landeskunde" information on German culture. They really enjoyed working with the students and especially using an interactive whiteboard. The transition year students will enter this enterprise project in the MLPSI initiative supported board! It is not surprising that the title of the programme is"Viel Spass!" ie have fun! by the Goethe Institute in Dublin. MLPSI is an initiative to foster the learning of language in primary schools
